Sometimes losing weight becomes an obsession and we tend to seek instant short-cuts
Once your favourite pants feel tighter our desire to shed some pounds is awakened. But we want those results fast, and also something that makes life easier…The way of less resistance!
To shed some excess fat usually begins with a healthy, balanced diet and regular exercise. They say this is the best way to go about it?! But this isn’t always doable for everyone due to lack of time, commitments, motivation. Or you might be suffering from an acute laziness-syndrome.
Weight-loss drugs potential risks
As with all good chemistry, if taken under supervision, the results can be astonishing. The potential side effects and the risks associated with drugs are due to abuse and not following the prescribed instructions/dosages.
Abdominal discomfort, diarrhoea, mood swings and headaches are a few of the minor discomforts you might experience
Strokes, and neural damage are some of the major problems. But hey, if its made in a sterile, modern lab, it can’t be bad…Right?
Stay healthy and alive
Pills, pills and more pills for almost any type of weight loss. Even kiddie-pills are appearing in some regions. A Micky-Mouse weightloss miracle. Oh my god! Do note that
drugs alter your body in such a way that the side effects are just the result of what happens during these changes
Suppressing your appetite for example, which results in eating less than you should to stay healthy or even alive. Drastic calorie cutting leads to fatigue, poor concentration, dizziness, and low blood sugar levels.
The good, the bad and the ugly?
Definitely research pros and cons of any weight-loss drugs you plan to take, and please consult your GP before taking action. On the other hand drugs are not necessary to achieve great results. You just need the right approach. Note that drugs may help you in the short term, but the negatives do not outweigh the positives. Be fully aware that they are a short cut and will fail every time!
